Something Reflective [single]

Would you write me something that I can reflect on? Maybe write the world a note to say goodbye when you're gone? We become lesser mirror images of ourselves We're all alone We echo on, we echo on Until we're gone from this world And you're so high Would you tell me something that I've been missing all along? Maybe tell my heart I said goodnight And to leave a name when I'm gone Remember me And you're so high You've got so much to leave behind I remember you said that the world was at your feet That was before you learned that we're all thieves I remember you said that you won't soon forget That was before you learned that we are not home yet We echo on, we echo on Until we're gone from this world We echo on and we become Another dream to fall upon Lost and alone But we're alive And you're so high You've got so much to leave behind Stealing moments from the vault of time

about

Emily and I actually recorded this song about 11 years ago; I only just rediscovered it in my archives. I've always loved this one, and, though I would probably handle it differently now (if I had recorded it today, instead of all those years ago), I still appreciate the perspective we brought to the table at that time. I hope you enjoy it!
